Frank Martelli
Frank Martelli was employed in law enforcement for over twenty-five years. During this time, he worked for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Tampa, Florida. In October 1981, he was promoted to detective and assigned to the White Collar Crimes Unit. He investigated all types of criminal activity, made arrests for forgery, embezzlement, grand theft and frauds of all types. During his career, he has also investigated drug crimes, robberies, arson and homicides. He also received specialized training in the examination of questionable documents (writing comparison), economic crimes forensics, prevention of fraud against the elderly, traveling criminal groups, computer crimes investigations and was the sole investigator of gypsy crimes for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Martelli was also a member of a federal economic crime task force for almost two years. The task force was formed to investigate telemarketing fraud in Florida. Members of the task force were from The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), The United States Secret Service (USSS), and The United States Postal Inspectors (USPI). Over twenty search warrants were executed and telemarketers were charged with fraudulent sales activity to victims that were located across the country.
Mr. Martelli currently works for a large law firm that specializes in consumer fraud. He investigates large corporations that take economic advantage of a wide number of consumers, causing millions of dollars of loss. He interviews victims from around the country and world.
